Scholars Program Manager

Jan Smith serves as the manager of the ECMC Scholars Program which provides a two-year mentoring program for students in their junior and senior years of high school.  Upon completion of the program, students are awarded a $6000 scholarship for higher education.

She has served in various positions pertaining to college access, adult literacy, accounting, and youth ministry for the past 36 years. Jan’s passion is to make a difference in the lives of students through money management education as they launch their postsecondary education/career journey.

Jan holds an A.A. in Business from Paducah Community College (Paducah, KY) and a B.S. in Accounting from Union University (Jackson, TN).  She is an accredited financial counselor through AFCPE.
